Refund Policy
Last Updated: April 17, 2026
This Refund Policy explains how refunds work for paid subscriptions to ProposalKit (the "Service"), provided by Oldfire OÜ ("we", "us"). It should be read alongside our Terms of Service.
Try before you buy
Every new account gets a 14-day free trial of ProposalKit with no credit card required. The trial gives you access to the same features as a paid subscription so you can fully evaluate the Service before committing. We strongly recommend using the trial to confirm the Service meets your needs before you subscribe.
Merchant of record
Paid subscriptions to ProposalKit are processed by Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record (MoR) for all purchases. This means Paddle is the legal seller for your subscription; they handle billing, payment methods, tax collection, invoices, chargebacks, and refund execution under their own buyer terms (paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms). Where this Refund Policy and Paddle's buyer terms conflict on any matter Paddle handles directly (such as the technical processing of a refund), Paddle's terms apply to that matter.
Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your billing settings inside ProposalKit, or by emailing us. Cancellation stops future renewals. When you cancel:
- you keep full access to the Service until the end of the current billing period;
- you are not charged again after the current period ends;
- proposals you already published remain live and accessible to their recipients, as described in our Terms of Service.
Refund window
You may request a refund within 14 days of the date of your initial subscription purchase or within 14 days of a renewal charge. After that 14-day window, charges are non-refundable except where mandatory law requires otherwise.
Cancellation and renewals
Cancelling your subscription stops future renewals at the end of your current billing period. Cancellation does not automatically create a prorated refund for unused time. If you want a refund for a recent charge, you must request it within the 14-day window above.
Consumers in the European Union
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you generally have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal when purchasing a digital service online. By starting to use the paid Service immediately after subscribing, you expressly consent to the Service being supplied during that period and acknowledge that your right of withdrawal is lost once the Service has been fully supplied. Nothing in this policy limits any mandatory consumer-protection right you have under the law of your country of residence.
Chargebacks
Before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card issuer, please contact us first — most billing questions can be resolved directly and faster than a chargeback dispute. Chargebacks filed for charges that were legitimately authorised (for example, renewals of an active subscription you did not cancel) may result in suspension of your account pending resolution, in line with Paddle's buyer terms.
How to request a refund
To request a refund within the 14-day window, email hello@proposalkit.io from the address associated with your account, or use Paddle's buyer support link from your order confirmation email. Please include:
- the email address on your ProposalKit account;
- the Paddle order or invoice reference, if you have it;
- a short description of why you are requesting a refund.
Approved refunds are executed by Paddle back to the original payment method. The time it takes for the funds to appear depends on your bank or card issuer.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last Updated" date above. Changes apply to purchases made after the new version is posted; they do not retroactively change the terms of an existing subscription period you have already paid for.
